Falcon road Annex was where physics students went to study crystallography, which was mostly gluing polystyrene balls to sticks, but apparently there were other students there - at least at the time of the following images and texts in 1969, after all the engineers, physicists and chemists had gone to Guildford .....

Photos and newsletters from Carolyn Stoll (Kim Ambler, LRS 1972):

This is taken at the 1969 Falcon Road Fancy dress party. I`m wearing a safari hat borrowed from Hugh Mortimer (if I remember rightly). Hugh is not on the photo but if you Google him, you`ll discover that he`s a VIP at the British Embassy in Berlin. Hugh graduated with us in 1972. Wearing the builder`s hat is Pete Boddy, also LRS 1972.
Mr Buxton in the pirate costume was a really nice lecturer.

Ditto, except that the vicar is played very convincingly by Trevor Richards, also LRS 1972.
