In 1958  The "new" school opened.  Two hundred and eight eleven-year-olds had their first taste of "senior" school.  Were you one of them?

Gary "Baldi" Dodds sent me a new Email address recently ...but I've lost it!  Sorry - can you resend it? - OK, thanks Gary!

What do you remember about the Spout Lane years?   ...and what have you all done since then?  If you've got any information or images to add to this site, contact me here. or here ... or here

This year is 2008 - fifty years after we started at Washington.

Air Cadets
The Air Training Corps was popular with Washington Baby Boomers, and many went on to a career in the RAF.  Here are Gary Dodds, Ian McCulloch, Bob Harle, George Downes and Frank Dixon.  These photographs are taken from a 111 (Sunderland) squadron photograph taken at RAF Kinloss.

Click here to see more, including the full squadron photograph (360Kb).
See if you can identify all the Baby Boomers who were there.

Drama
Many Baby Boomers were involved in Amateur Dramatics during their time at Washington, and some of them made the mistake of being photographed doing it.  Here are a collection of images (thanks to Gordon Fulton and Andy Dennis) including Bryan Ferry as Malvolio in Twelfth Night....
...and the entire cast of the Scottish Play. click Here to see them.
